Typed & Signed letter by Jack Warner. Dated 7/4/75
Letter Reads:
Dear Frank, Thank you for your letter which I was very pleased to receive and to know that you and yours are all well.
I just cannot believe that I have been "on the beat" at Dock Green for twenty years next July. I am so glad that you like our new series, and, judging from the letters I have had from all over the country, most viewers seem to like them as well.
Every year the same question arises- "Are we going to continue next year"? As far as I know the cuts at the B.B.C. have not included our show, so I hope that I will be doing the twenty first year in due course. I hope so any way. We still have marvellous viewing figures and that is the main thing.
Like you I am having a rest at the moment. Seven months on television is quite a chore in spite of what some people think. However, I am not grumblingm and all the time people want to see us at Dock Green I will be there.
With best wishes
Sincerely
Jack Warner
